OEM NAVIGATION on a NON NAV-GS

It will cost you $10K for the part at dealer and get them to do this on your car, and most dealers don't even know where to start. Ask your local dealer, you will know what I am talking about.

Update: If you can locate the parts (NAV computer, Antenna, NAV screen, and connectors)
I will test and wire everything up for you. Contact me for more info (got_rice76@yahoo.com)

Email me if you are interested in selling me your navigation part, or know anyone who want to sell it. Thank you

There are several thousand of visits on my website for the last few month. But I only received a handful of donation. I am thankful for those that donated. But at this rate, I will never able to increase the bandwidth of this site.

The full detail of this DIY available to those that donated to this site only (send me an email). I spent too much time answering questions from visitors and not getting anything in return. Now, I will focus my attention to those that donated and give their email questions a higher priority.

I am currently not making any profit from these DIYs. If you find web content valuable, please consider donating a few dollars.

Thank you

Status: Not Yet Complete. Update 03/07/2003
-A/C control: Full touch screen AC control
-Radio: Full Control
-Navigation is fully functional.
-Still need to connect the speaker for the navigation, but everything else is working beautifully.

-LCD: can be used as a stand alone display, RGB sources required.
-Navigation computer: running w/o hard drive, the current hard drive may be bad, my seller is sending me another hard drive (navigation capability is not tested yet due to the hard drive, but look like all the wiring are correct.
-Can use other aftermarket DVD based for Navigation/TV with the OEM Nav computer if wanted (keep factory look)

Installation
I have not install the whole unit yet, still under testing. If you can install a stereo system in your car, you can install this. The Navigation screen and Navigation computer were wired up in such a way that it's self-contained. You just need to connect power and cut 1 wire from the factory wiring to connect and power the whole navigation system.

Full Schematic Diagrams, wiring plan, connectors building.
These are hand drawn and planned by myself. They are available to those that donate to this site only

In Door powered by a battery (see left) Color is litte off, but be from the weak battery. In car test shown a lot nicer picture.
