Mount the amp as shown in picture (see my backseat remove instruction)
Power wire from battery running down to the trunk on the passenger side (no
drilling require, just cut a small hole on the plastic cover next to the
battery and push the wire in.
Run other signals cable and speaker cable on the driver side. Just pull the
door step up, it will come right out.
Install the LLC and EQ as shown in picture. (see wiring diagram)
Here is the stock wiring info (simplified version showed) (for GS400 1999,
w/o Nak, similar apply to other models)
I am still deciding on the Sub, I am running factory sub now.
Top Choice: Pioneer Perfect Series DVC, running 2 ohm, in free air, if does
not work out, will built a small box for it.
I finally can say that my system is finally sound as I wanted and still keep
the factory look. The EQ did most of the trick. I can't live without the
equalizer. I highly recommend the set up to anyone.
4Ga Power wire running through firewall, just cut the plastic cover and
push the wire through.
AMP mount: Mount directly into the truck support cross beams, remove
the back seat, you will see them.
Make sure you have GOOD ground and use the same gauge wire for the ground wire.
Keep the ground wire as short as possible.
Factory amp is behind the glove compartment. To remove the glove compartment,
remove 3 Philip screws on top and 2x10mm bolts below the glove compartment.
After remove the console, you will see the stock AMP
Connect your LLC and all other wires, mount the EQ
the glove compartment does not quite fit back since the EQ is pushing out,
it's a little tricky to install it back =)
Remove Center Console to run signal cables, you don't need to do this if you
run them along the driver side
Use a long stick of some thing to guide the signal cables through, see
pictures
The cable is going along the center section of the car, off to the side
Good luck. Stay in the car and enjoy the music. I finally happy with the Polk
speakers.
I
will post up instruction on how to tune your system using the EQ when I get a
chance.
