The top part of the brake light use 7443 bulb, which is a dual filament bulb

How come top part of the brake light only light up when you turn on the PARKING light. What about when you brake? How about during the day when you don't have your headlight on, won't it look better if you have both bottom and top part light up when you step on the brake ;-)

(if you don't believe me, try it out yourself, have someone sit in the car and turn on the light, step on the brake...)

I rewired the top part of my brake light to light up  using 2 diodes (for over a year already) I finally discovered that you don't even need the diodes to do this. Lexus had never connected the top part of the light even the use the dual filament bulb, I wonder why???

Don't believe me, I un-wrapped the electrical tape covered the wire, and voila, look, it's not connected

Well, all you need to do is strip the Black wire (not connected wire),  connect it to the Green/white wire, then your un-use light now will light up when you step on the brake .

Tape everything back as before. you are done. Enjoy your new Lexus option.
