Instruction on swap the wood part from a wood steering wheel to a non-wood steering wheel.
This instruction can also be used to restore wood panel for antique car.
Cost: used steering wheel, junk yard, or ebay, my cost from ebay $220
SC430 wheel.
-Sand paper: 100,220,400 grit sand paper
-Minwax stains (color of your choice), Minwax UV protection clear coat (ClearShield)
(www.minwax.com, for instruction how to apply these products)
-Strong Poly Glue, Goob glue, leather glue
Total cost: $265

Cut out
sand down
Remove steering wheel, disconnect BATTERY first
Remove 2 torque hex screws and a 19mm bolt, and steering remove kit. see pix
Glue
Stain
Clear coat
picture taken when i have not clean the steering wheel yet, i think the clear coat is not completely dry yet, i'll give it another day
